Salary: £ 13.39 per hour
  • To ensure that all residents receive planned, safe, supportive and dedicated care that meets their needs and preferences, within an environment that maximizes their independence, dignity and choice, and maintains close links with the Jewish community.
  • To take a lead role in the day to day operational running of the unit and to manage the nursing and care staff on duty in order to  ensure that all activities required for the provision of care and other services to the residents in the unit, are maintained.
  • To keep abreast with recommendations of good nursing and care good practice and to ensure that nurses and care staff are aware of these and implement them into their practice.
  • In the absence of the Care Manager and / or Registered Manager, to take responsibility and accountability for the shift and act as the named person in charge.
  • To  maintain clear and effective communication with the managers and other  stakeholders in the home as well as relevant stakeholders in Jewish Care and external agencies.
  • To promote choice, well-being and the protection of all individuals through the ideals and values of Jewish Care, the NMC, National Care Standards and the GSCC Code of Conduct.
  • To promote the values and principles underpinning best practice for older people, those with dementia and end of life care.
  • To be responsible for personal Continuing Professional Development and contribute to the Continuing Professional Development of the Team.

Hyman Fine House

Hyman Fine House was originally built by the Jewish Community of Brighton so that the area would have its own Jewish Home. Later becoming part of Jewish Care we pride ourselves on maintaining strong community links. Everyone who lives in the home is welcome to attend the local community day centre. We have regular visits from the local Rabbis and enjoy celebrating all the Jewish Festivals.
