Jewish Care Direct Helpline

Call our Helpline on 020 8992 2222 for friendly advice and information on all our services.

Community support services

Our specialist teams provide support and advice to members of the community in the areas of ageing and dementia, disability and welfare rights, family care support and palliative and residential care.

Family Carers Team

Caring for someone can be both physically and emotionally demanding. We offer much-needed support and information for anyone who is caring for a friend or relative.

Voluntary Visitors

It can make all the difference to have someone pop round regularly for a chat.

Community & Day Centres

At our Community and Day Centres we provide good food, social activities, entertainment and friendship in a Jewish atmosphere. At many of them you can get a manicure, have your hair done or even visit the optician or an audiologist. We also offer support and advice where needed.

Sheltered accommodation in Southend

Above the Southend & Westcliff Community Centre is Shebson Lodge. This is a block of 16 flats where older Jewish people can live independently, but with the provision of 24-hour support if they need it.

New Links

A chance to enjoy the company of new friends during a relaxing evening of activities in a friendly environment. This is open to all single Jewish people over 60.

Stroke Clubs

We have five stroke clubs across London where people who have had strokes can meet and share their experiences. Speech therapists and physiotherapists visit regularly to help members gain maximum independence and quality of life.

Talking News and Books

Audio news, entertainment and talking books for people who find it hard to read or those who find it difficult to hold a newspaper or book.

Kosher Meals on Wheels

We are able to provide a Kosher meals on wheels service to areas in Redbridge, as well as putting you in touch with local authorities who are able to provide you with a similar service wherever you live.
