Willie WalshWalsh spoke of his admiration for Jewish Care and of his background in the airline industry. He also spoke of the importance of the Heathrow - Tel Aviv route, which British Airways has been flying twice daily since 1994.
Commenting on the work Jewish Care does every day, Mr Walsh said: “Jewish Care has been making a difference to countless members of the Jewish community for such a long time. It is truly a wonderful service and does very important work. It is a fantastic charity and it deserves the support you all give it.”
Stephen Zimmerman, Chairman of Jewish Care, said that Jewish Care has to raise £15 million every year to run its services, and emphasised the theme of community responsibility, saying: “It is our loved ones who we need to look after when they get older, which is why Jewish Care is so important.”
The breakfast was sponsored by Coller Capital and £29,000 was raised for Jewish Care’s services.
