Employee Blog - Natasha Carson

I first heard about Jewish Care in 1999 when I saw an advertisement for a social work assistant. I had no real idea of what the job was about, but thought it sounded interesting and I liked the idea of working for a charity. I thought that I would need to be Jewish, but I soon realised that that didn’t matter and Jewish Care welcomes staff from all backgrounds.

Jewish Care has definitely provided career opportunities for me. Being a large charity, there are chances to move into different roles. I’ve had the opportunity to train as a social worker, manage a home care team and for the last two and a half years, I’ve been managing Ella & Ridley Jacobs House, one of our residential homes.

To help me through my different jobs, Jewish Care has sent me on different training courses and even helped me to achieve professional qualifications. If you want a career that makes a difference, I’d definitely recommend Jewish Care.
