some other services
Employee Blog - Mark Willis
I’ve had a lot of support in furthering my career since I joined Jewish Care. I started as a mental health project worker at the Shalom Centre in Golders Green. Around 18 months later, I was seconded to cover maternity leave for a senior mental health project worker in Mitkadem, Redbridge, and I had responsibility for staff supervisions and service development.
After this, I took up the new role of East London day services manager, jointly responsible for Mitkadem and the Kadimah Centre in Stamford Hill; their staff and day to day management.
In 2003, I became mental health day services manager, overseeing five mental health services – three day centres, the employment project, and the education and development service. This role gave me the chance to develop new services such as the mental health education team, and restructure the service from day care to our new Centres for Wellbeing.
There’s plenty of job satisfaction and Jewish Care has given me lots of support along the way.
