There are a wide range of volunteering opportunities at Jewish Care that will help you learn new skills, make friends, increase your confidence and give you the chance to make a difference to people's lives.

Administration Skills
Would you like to be office based? With or without computer skills, we can make good use of your time, either on a regular or ad-hoc basis.

Pat Dogs
Do you have a friendly, well-behaved dog? You'll be astonished how much you and your canine friend will mean to some of our residents.

Arts and Crafts
Do you have creative skills? Can you help people find their hidden artistic talents in our day centres and residential homes?

Computer Clubs
Do you have the patience to convey your computer skills? We have a specialist IT day centre for clients with sensory and physical disabilities. We also have older members in our day centres who are keen to learn more about using the Internet and email. We have the equipment - we just need your time and know-how!

Playing Games
Do you enjoy playing cards, board games including Scrabble, Monopoly, rummikub, chess? Help keep our members minds' active and enjoy a challenge yourself!

Dining Room Support
All frustrated waiters and waitresses apply here! We are always in need of support, laying tables and helping to serve meals in our dining rooms in our residential homes and day centres.

Voluntary Visiting
Do you have time to visit one of our lonely clients in their own home? You'd bring a breath of fresh air from the outside world and you'd be surprised how much you'd get from it too!

Discussion Groups
Are you interested in "times gone by" or current affairs? Do you have or would you like to develop the skills to faciliate one of our very popular groups in our day centres or residential homes?

Shabbat Programme
Would you enjoy participating in or leading Shabbat and festival services in our residential homes? These services are specially tailored so all our residents can join in, no matter how frail.

Health & Beauty
Can you assist in our hairdressing salons or do manicures? Looking good makes our clients feel good!

Drivers and escorts
Are you a careful, considerate driver with a clean driving licence? Either use your own car or we can provide the "wheels" and the training if you can give us a few hours of your time to assist with one of our minibuses.

Befriender for mental health services
Could you be a befriender for people who use our mental health services? Training and support is provided.
