You may want to volunteer at Jewish Care for a number of reasons; to give back to the community, for your CV or perhaps for an awards certificate programme. What are the next steps?

Complete an application form (which you can download here). If you need more help download our application guidelines.

You will be invited to a placement interview

If there is a volunteer vacancy, you will be invited to meet staff at the specific resource to get more information about the role.
What happens if there isn’t a vacancy?
If there isn’t currently an opening, you will be put on a waiting list and receive monthly email updates as new volunteer vacancies arise.
Can you volunteer in a group?
If you want to get involved with a group, for example with some school friends, we can accommodate groups of up to 6 people. Please note that group volunteering is not dependent on vacancies- we create the opportunities.
We have links with many schools who send groups to volunteer. Check with your school to see if they have signed up to send volunteers to Jewish Care.
NOTE: It can take up to 6 weeks to process an application.
